Usually, RO system consists of high pressure pump , reverse osmosis (RO) membrane, and more others accessories. To protect RO membranes from being clogged, good sea water filtration system must be configured cleaning system, which can flush RO system by fresh water.
1. Directly drop the system working life
The salt, which left in pressure vessel beyond work, will crystallization easily, and then adhere on the surface of RO membrane. If long term work without cleaning, would result in the membranes blocked. especially for intermittent use. If customers do not need it work everyday, should let the pressure vessel is full with fresh water.
Changing RO membranes rate depends on whether it is clogged or not, it mean that the more quickly blocked, the higher rate replace new one.
2. Consumption more electric energy
Once the membrane been clogged, RO system need higher pressure to reverse osmosis, or the water molecules can not pass through membrane to the fresh water from the salty seawater solution.
3. Easily burn out motor and damage pump head
When the membrane surface is adhered by salt, the pressure will increase out normal. What’s more, the high pressure pump motor would burn out and also damage pump head while the pressure out max limits.
4. Water production capacity would decrease
Oppositely, if the sea water filtration system with cleaning system, it can extend RO system working life by protect it from being clogged.
